BOOK REVIEW: HYPERBOLE AND A HALF BY ALLIE BROSH.

I don’t know if I should call this book a Memoir.
I’m having a hard time fitting it into that category.
And I can’t say that it’s based on real life stories.
Because, it doesn’t fit either.

Maybe, I'll just make do with this,
It's a book written by the Author on things that have happened
to her in reality, basically about her Struggle with ADHD and
societal conformity.

This book speaks to me in a very personal way because I felt like I was the one narrating.
How do you come to terms that you are a good person because you don't know anything else to be and that you are depressed by how impressed people are with your acts of kindness.

How even though, you think a neighbor's dress is pretty, you don't really want to say it, but then you still say it because it is socially constructed as being envious when you don't openly celebrate the good things happening in people's life.

How your heart beats a thousand times faster when you get a phone call and WA message, how you put your phone in Airplane mode for days or dreading to open your WA app till you find the right response to a random basic question, then starting another cycle of worrying about the relevancy of replying (because it's been days, weeks, since the message or call came in) and the feeling of the sender or caller.

How you want to do a million things at the same time, but lacking the ability to focus and complete one and how that cycle always repeats itself.

It's a big deal with ADHD really.

But Allie Brosh wrote it in a way that you'll just want to read and read and read.

It's a 373 paged book, but even a kid would like to read it - even though they won't understand a lot - being that it's more like a picture books, few words, lots of pictorial representation and then few words again.

I have a PDF copy if you want.

I'm giving it a 5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
And I never give full marks, I mean I didn't even reserve anyone for myself and for God.
It's that gooooooood.
