8. road to 24: the one that directs my steps.

within my heart, i can make plans for my future, but the Lord chooses how or the steps i take to get there.

God created us as reasonable creatures that has the mind of thinking for ourselves, devising means, designing an end and projecting ways that will lead to that end, but as an depending creatures that is under direction and dominion of my maker, if i devise my ways so as to please God and make his glory my end goal and his will my desire, i expect that he will direct my steps by his spirit and grace, so that i won't only miss not my way but also not come short of my desired end.

it is important to note that i might design my end so beautifully with great possibility of success but it is in God's hand to direct and establish my steps and sometimes he directs my steps in ways that i least intended.

in all, this teaches me to say "if the lord will, i shall live and do this or that" - James 4:14-15 and not to not only have my eyes in God for the great "significant" events of my lives but in every "minor" step i take, especially to lead me to his will, into him - 1 Thessalonians 3:11.
